OREGON  ASSOCIATION  FOR  COURT ADMINISTRATION
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Oregon Association for Court Administration (OACA) Website! OACA was established in 1977 and is Oregon’s only organization for court professionals and those interested in the Courts of Oregon. Our membership includes Justice, Municipal, Tribal, and State Court Staff, students, vendors, active and retired judges, and others who share an interest in Oregon Courts.

The goal of the OACA Board is to provide beneficial and reasonably priced learning experiences. This is done through conferences held biannually, one in the spring and one in the fall. Each conference provides formal training and allows attendees the opportunity to network with people from similar court environments. The Board works very hard to develop the educational agenda for each conference. We have keynote speakers, rap sessions, and excellent plenary sessions. The rap sessions are specific to each court type. OACA utilizes local knowledgeable court staff as well as nationally known expert speakers to provide training in the following areas: Legal/Court Procedures; Personnel/People Skills; Judicial Organization; Operational Systems Management; and Electives. These topics are what the OACA Educational Certification Program is based on. This program was designed to enhance the training and skills necessary for members wanting to formally continue their professional development.

OACA will assist members who need financial help to attend its conferences and other educational programs. There are two scholarship programs available to our members, the Peter Kiefer Educational Scholarship and the Vendor Scholarship. For more information regarding these programs, go to the links under Forms.

OACA encourages anyone with interest in the courts to become a member. We are sustained by the talents and efforts of our members. If you are not currently a member, please consider joining this worthwhile organization. There is a link to Membership Information on this website.

Your ideas, suggestions, and support are what keep OACA going. You may contact any Board member listed on the website. We will be happy to assist you or answer any questions you may have.

Working together to keep court administration in Oregon knowledgable and connected!
